Kama‘āina
couples, this could be your lucky day! We recently heard from our friends at the fabulous Four Seasons Resort Lanai that they are giving away a wedding to one deserving couple, and after reviewing the vendor list, it's going to be extraordinary. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, photographers Jon Lagon and Mike Joy from Visionari are documenting the event, and Yvonne Chapman will take the lead for the wedding design and floral arrangements—this will be an event to remember!

Here is the official press release: Four Seasons Resorts Lāna‘i and Sunrise on KGMB9 are pleased to announce the inaugural Down the Isle wedding promotion, offering a fairytale wedding on the private island of Lāna‘i to a fortunate kama‘āina couple. The Down the Isle promotion will air from September 2009 through February 2010 and will rely heavily on viewer participation to plan this dream wedding, hosted by Four Seasons Resorts Lāna‘i.
“We are honored to partner with Sunrise on KGMB9 to offer an unforgettable wedding to a deserving island couple,” said Tom Roelens, general manager of Four Seasons Resorts Lāna‘i. “Lāna‘i is an idyllic destination for weddings, offering more ceremony locations than any other resort in Hawaii, so the possibilities are endless. Whether high atop the cliffs overlooking the ocean at The Challenge at Manele golf course or in a sophisticated upcountry garden at Koele, the loyal Sunrise viewers will undoubtedly select the perfect wedding elements to complement the couple’s taste, combined with impeccable Four Seasons service.”The Down the Isle wedding, scheduled for February 18, 2010, will be worry-free for the bride and groom, especially since they will not have one decision to make – instead, Sunrise on KGMB9 viewers will vote online for all of the wedding elements on behalf of the couple. Voting will begin in November, with the first category dedicated to selecting the Down the Isle couple, chosen from four finalists.
Once the couple has been selected, Sunrise viewers will have the opportunity to “plan” the wedding by voting online each week at KGMB9.com, throughout December and January. The wedding categories include the ceremony and reception location; wedding bands, wedding attire; bridal hair and make-up; reception entrée; wedding cake; florals; photography and entertainment. The elite wedding planning team, led by Four Seasons Resorts Lāna‘i, includes The Wedding Ring Shop, Casablanca, Yvonne Floral Design, Visionari, Digital Expressions, Envisions Entertainment and Productions, and Island Air, to create a wedding so sophisticated and elegant only this talented team of specialists could produce.
“We’re excited about coming together with our partners to engage the community in planning this very special wedding,” said Candace Hirleman, KGMB9 Marketing Director. “Hawaii has never seen a promotion of this scale before, and it will be an event that the winning couple – and the entire state – won’t soon forget.”
Sunrise on KGMB9 will begin accepting applications on Monday, September 14 through Sunday, October 19, 2009 for a chance to win the Down the Isle wedding on Lāna‘i. Visit www.KGMB9.com for more information, application and official rules.
