The Gathering was a Success

Thanks to all the wedding professionals who attended The Gathering last week at thirtyninehotel. Guests were treated to Cake Couture's fabulous cupcakes and were given a quick site inspection of Honolulu's edgy nightclub in historic Chinatown. It's a hip, artsy spot for a bachelorette party or bridal shower. Our creative director, Halii Iaea, shared information from his recent trip to the WPPI Photographers Convention and wedding vendors had the chance to ask questions about the upcoming issue of Pacific WEDDINGS. We were all thrilled to meet the youngest member of our PW ohana, Graclyn Olina Dieterle, photographer Cassandra Dieterle's adorable new daughter. Gracelyn and her big sister Brooke have a tendency to steal the show no matter what the occasion!  Thanks, Cassie  and David, for giving us the chance to see your beautiful family!

Shop Tamara Catz Bride Downtown!

Have you heard about the Coral Loft in Honolulu's Chinatown yet? The studio workspace houses Hinu Jewelry designer Jennifer Binney, designer Jason Dow and fashion designer Gina Davidson of Lacy J T-shirts. The Loft offer's emerging artists a space to exhibit their work and designers, a venue for runway and trunk shows. Maui designer Tamara Catz will be hosting an open house at the Loft this Saturday, March 8 to showcase her bridal collection. For those of you in the neighborhood to simply shop, be sure to stop in for a first look at Tamara's Resort '08 collection. And savor every last bite of Cake Couture's yummy cupcakes and confections inside. They are oh so sinful!

Neiman Marcus Wedding Event

If you're seeking the best in designer tabletop, fine stationery and unique gift ideas for your wedding, stop by Neiman Marcus at the Ala Moana Center for their annual Wedding Event this Saturday, February 16. Visit the Gift Galleries, Level 3 from 11 AM to 3 PM to peruse the store's truly wondrous floral and decor displays. You can also preview the wedding dining options at Mariposa restaurant where guests will enjoy a champagne tasting and view bridal fashions from 1 PM to 3 PM. Pacific WEDDINGS™ Celebrates at The White Party

We finally have a sneak-preview from our fabulous White Party held at the Honolulu Design Center on September 6, 2007. While sipping mojitos by Tommy Bahama White Sand Rum, guests enjoyed the screening of Desire, Pacific WEDDINGS' exclusive video by Angel De Armas. Another highlight of the evening was a fashion show in which Tamara Catz unveiled her new bridal collection. Check back for photos of her gorgeous bohemian gowns straight from the runway.
