THREAD Bridesmaid
When it comes to selecting the perfect bridesmaid dress, there is so much more to consider than color and style. You have the challenging task of satisfying your lovely bridesmaids' personal tastes and body shapes. One of my favorite go-to fashion lines for this common dilemma is Thread, known for their flirty and fun party dresses. This season, Thread used vibrant colors (the line is aptly called the Bright collection) and simple, pretty fabrics such as cotton sateen and silk taffeta. They also debuted their cotton seersucker line-- perfect for a preppy beach wedding! I love the off-the-shoulder style and shorter lengths for the daring few. Thread will have the new collection up on their site in December so check it out!

I just met the lovely Harmony Walton of Bridal Bar and Getmarried.com. Kleinfeld Bridal is one of the most premier bridal salons in the world. Have you seen "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC yet?! Co-owners Ronnie and Mara personally select each gown designer in their 30,000 square foot Chelsea store. Pnina Tornai has designed gowns exclusively for Kleinfeld and unveiled her glamourous collection last night on West 20th Street. It was fabulous!
What I loved about Pnina Tornai: flirty mini dresses, stunning detachable trains and the finest fabrics worthy of the label "Haute Couture".

Reem Acra Finale
Reem Acra knows how to put on a show. The acclaimed designer is famous for her elaborate and playful productions inspired by Parisian decadence and royalty. Her New York showroom on 5th Avenue (btw 56th & 57th) was transformed into a luxurious atelier adorned in red velvet and gold trimmings. As you can see here, the collection was chic and stunning!
What I loved about Reem Acra: beautiful gowns with meticulously applied beads, dramatic feather headpieces and dark, sparkling makeup with arty cabaret references.
